To spend a day of discovery in the city of Fribourg, leave from Givisiez in the direction of Fribourg-Poya. Go down to the St-Nicolas cathedral and park your bike to visit the old town on foot through the Grand Rue, the Ruelle des Epouses and the  Petit-Saint-Jean Square.

The old town of Fribourg is full of treasures with its historical bridges, the Sarine, the ramparts and the fountains. Take the opportunity to go back to the city center with the Funicular.

By bike to Murten

Get on your bike for a 1-hour long discovery tour on the route of the Waldensian Alps (no. 59) towards Murten!

Passing through the city of Fribourg and Düdingen and along the lake of Schiffenen, this route to Erlach is suitable for beginners to intermediate level cyclists and will lead you to the heart of the old town of Murten.

Once there, enjoy the lake and the atypical architecture of the city for a day of relaxation and outdoor activities.

Through the former peasant lands of the Bernese Lords

 

From Givisiez, take the Route of the former Bernese Lords (no. 34), passing through Payerne, to get to Estavayer-Le-Lac in about 2 hours. This route is accessible to cyclists of average level.

The itinerary follows a region that was formerly under Bernese occupation. Once arrived in Estavayer-le-lac, enjoy the beach and the lake to relax.
